You were meant to read this… so take the time.

Watching Passion 2012 right now, Live online. I planned to be in the Georgia Dome with my friends but, I wasn’t able to go. How cool a thing that they will post this online so that I can take part in the service and, likewise people from all around the world can partake in the word that Lord through Louie and his team have for this Generation, in this New Year. How beautiful a movement that demands nothing of its church than to make Jesus Famous… (the gospel) and it works! How awesome a God who moves through a generation of students who come willing to simply be used… Not because they need a cause… but because There IS a Cause! The cause is the salvation of the world from a remarkably dark doom it is headed towards. Redemption is completely possible and available. Louie Giglio spoke out of the letter that Paul wrote, we call Ephesians… Ephesians 2… It talks about how we were once dead in our sins. We weren’t in trouble, we weren’t in danger, or heading towards something that would end in our death… No, we were dead.
Helpless, it was over. Our spirit was not redeemable by anything that we were capable of doing. For how can a dead man help himself? He has to be lead away in a box, cleaned and transported by his keepers… How can a dead man help anyone, comfort anyone, be of any use… especially to himself?

Christians we were once dead in our sins, we all were, the way we formerly walked. Unbeliever, you are dead in your sins at this moment. I don’t say this to be rude, or shocking. What is required here is truth… Flattery wont help you. Believe it or not, I am actually capable of being a meek, polite Christian. But there is something inside of me, likened to a fire that is smoldering in my bones and I can’t help but
write this to you. Not because it is required of me, even though it most definitely is… It’s because I am deeply moved by the knowledge that if you aren’t
revived, you will remain dead in your sins. Forever. Hell is a reality, and its not fun to talk about, but its necessary. Those who do right don’t fear punishment, but those who don’t do right… should.

I remember the day my dad died and how shocking that ways because he was the kind of man who didn’t lose… especially to sickness. I remember seeing him, spirit
flown, laying in the casket. I didn’t touch him but my first instinct (for lack of a better word) was to tell him to “get up right now”. There was so much going on in the room at the time but all I wanted to do was jump on his chest and do CPR because there was no way this was possible… But I couldn’t do anything.

I think about the Lord a lot and when he created us at the very beginning. He breathed life into Adam and Adam got up and walked about and learned the way of Life by simply being with His Father God. And I think about how God must have felt the day his son died… The day Adam died spiritually… The day death entered into our bodies, the moment Adam and Eve sinned against God. They were dead in their sins… And I think, “what was Gods gut reaction to this?” “what did he feel and want to do when he saw them dead in their sins”… And I thought about the day I saw my dad lying there, helpless because of death. And my reaction was what God’s reaction was… He wanted to revive them. He was grieved at the thought and reality of separation from us that was eternal. We were dead because of
what we had done…

But God, being rich in mercy! Because of his great and immeasurable love for us, while we were still his enemies, he sent Jesus as the Christ to revive us. I wasn’t able to bring my dad back to life physically, but since Jesus came to bring us to life spiritually I believe that my dad is not dead. His body definitely is… But dad is alive and well and with his Father.

God’s gut reaction was CPR. hahaha (in an extremely complicated,
powerful, sacrificial, and everlasting way)

Listen, I can’t just tell you something happy and by doing that be cleaning a helping a corpse. Many people, who follow such and such religions and denominations that, might claim Christ but don’t know his word, will only make a corpse look pretty. I’m not condemning you, I WAS THE SAME WAY! I’m speaking from experience… I once was dead. As human beings who are Christians we aren’t here to condemn, because we, ourselves, have been so remarkably saved. I don’t deserve to have God’s favor… But I am so favored. Wow. Friend, WE are so favored. YOU are so favored by God. There are many who tell you that you are ok and that God is merciful and gracious and well “we all have issues and God will sort it out later on”… Listen, He already has sorted it out. God isn’t confused by your sin. He knows what it is, he didn’t have to take a course to know how you work!  You don’t have to justify or explain anything to him… There  is no conversation. He knows sin, and he knows you and he has credentials to say that its going to destroy you. He kindof put you together. =)

Hear me… Don’t mistake his patience with you for a lack of consistency or forgetfulness. He is being patient with you and so aware of you. But the day that we all will stand before him and be accountable for all that we have done is coming and it is something that cannot be postponed, or canceled… This appointment is scheduled, and you can’t get a second opinion in this eternal prognosis. You can’t
see your day in an appeals court after this definite judgement. This is the truth. You need to know how things are, not how you or I hope they will be.

But God being rich in mercy… let that sink in. He adores you. While you are still his enemy, he knew you would be and still sent his son to die for you. Why? Because he is rich in mercy.

He loves you. What you need to do is realize that you have sinned against him… Confess to God that you have sinned against him, believe in your deep that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead… and God will revive you.

I’ve heard it a lot “I don’t know how to pray”… thats why many times you’ve seen people who have written out “the sinners prayer” and given it to people… There’s nothing special about it. But everything powerful about these words…

“God I have sinned against you and I know it. God save me, I need
you and I recognize that you are pulling at my heart. I don’t
understand it all, teach me. I believe that you raised Jesus from
the dead. I believe Jesus is your son and Jesus is Lord. Forgive
me of all my sins, I pray. Have mercy on me, save me and my family.
I accept you as my God and I will serve you forever. Teach me
to love you and show me the plan you have for my life. Speak to me,
and I will listen and obey. Thank you for mercy, I pray all of this
in Jesus name, amen.”

God is not like a man that he would lie to you. If you ask him he will do it for you. Ask him to forgive you and he will be faithful to you. He has been to me and I am telling you that from experience. God is alive, and is making you aware of him as you read this. You are tremendously loved.

If you prayed that prayer, message me, lets talk. If you prayed that prayer tell someone about it, it doesn’t have to be me. But if you prayed that prayer, you need to know something… You might not have been rejoiced over here on earth. People might not really know you too well, or they might know you very well… But God has just adopted you as his child and the angels in heaven are literally throwing a party over you! You are free from the guilt you carried for ages. You are sealed as a Child of God and the Holy Spirit, who is God, will begin to speak to you and comfort you and lead you. Things may be hard at home, they may be terrible,
but you now have a friend that will stick closer to you than any of your family members. Jesus died for you, he most certainly will stick with you. He gave everything for you, and now that he has you, he’s not going to leave you.

Pray tonight… be happy tonight… spend the rest of the night talking to God. If you have a bible, read the book of John.

And if there is a believer who is out there and you are away from God. You’re reading this and you feel the conviction that you haven’t recognized in a while because you have buried it behind your sins… Be reminded again that you need to come home to the Lord, and you know it. Don’t destroy yourself when you have been so tremendously forgiven and set free… Get humble, stop being angry, and cry out to God to forgive you and do what is right. He loves you and is sending someone on tumblr, of all places, to write this to you… I know how it feels to have hurt God and you think that you can’t come back to him. Because you feel like He is angry at you and won’t receive you back… because you knew what is right… And all though you are right that you did wrong, we did wrong… God is CRAZY ABOUT YOU! He is still your Father and is waiting for you to come home. This is your call… He was torn apart for you. He suffered so much for you so that you wouldn’t have to live in this abandonment and guilt and grief you are carrying. Your purpose that he planned out for you hasn’t changed. He has still called you and destined you to do his work. Stop being miserable within yourself and putting it off… Don’t refuse the Holy Spirit, let this conviction bring you back to grace… You can’t put it off because the conviction will soon fade and you wont feel it anymore. That is dangerous. You have today, right now. You know this… You aren’t promised tomorrow. But You are not being condemned by God, if you were he wouldn’t be drawing you again… His conviction is a blessing because he is still calling you. LISTEN and repent and turn from what you are doing and remember who you are… Your wondering heart has been gone way too long. You do not belong to what you are in, your Father is God and he is waiting for you to come home to him… Talk to him.
